Bowen River Rodeo, Campdraft & Junior Bush Sports
Bowen River Rodeo, Campdraft and Bush Sports is an annual Collinsville event that has been running since 1886. It is held in June each year on what used to be the Queens Birthday weekend. The Campdraft begins on Friday morning and runs until Sunday afternoon with the Rodeo running Saturday & Sunday. Bowen River Bush Sports, for the kids, is held both Saturday and Sunday. Each year at Bowen River there is hot food available from Friday morning to Sunday evening, as well as two licensed bars and entertainment in the evenings. One bar operates near the rodeo and Campdraft action during the day only and the other bar operates in the evening where the live entertainment plays. There is a variety of vendors, selling food and drinks, coffee, clothing, leather gear, horse supplies and more.

Don River Dash

T8T Fest
A music festival is held annually in Bowen to raise awareness and funds for the Australian Melanoma Research Foundation in memory of Nicholas Tait (Taity) who lost his battle with melanoma on the 16th September 2016.

Bowen Turf Club is a non-profit country turf club, run by a volunteer committee who is passionate about keeping country racing in the Whitsundays region.

Rock n Reef Trail Run - Bowen

The Bowen trail run scenery provides stunning beaches and rocky headlands. It is a rocky and technical trail with steep climbs and fast descents and some coasteering in the longer distances.
