Joe's Beach, Whitsunday Island
Description
Joe’s Beach is located on Whitsunday Island, at Cid Harbour, approximately 17 kilometres east-north-east of Shute Harbour. The campground is a secluded site, set right on the beach and provides fantastic views of Cid Island and the Molle group of islands. The fringing reef is exposed at low tide and is good snorkelling on mid to high tides.
The camp site surface is sand and dirt.
A camping permit is required to camp at Joe’s Beach. The campground has a capacity of 12 people. Open fires are not permitted in the Whitsunday Islands National Park.
Joe’s Beach can be reached on a mid to high tide by boat (only). There is a protected anchorage at the beach. Facilities include a composting toilet and picnic tables. Take your own drinking water, rubbish bags, a fuel stove and insect repellent.
