Lions Park
Horseshoe Bay Road, just before Grays Bay – This park is tucked away but with the small range of park facilities it is a lovely stop for the afternoon sunset. While the kids will enjoy new equipment it also has a lovely large grass area for a snack or to kick around the ball with the kids.
Hansen Park
Horseshoe Bay Road, beachfront - If your kids love room to move then this is a wonderful park! You have a large green grass area where you will be able to fit the cricket match, football and kite flying all into. This park not only has the space but has play equipment for many ages, with younger children able to access the slide and cubby house to the spider web climbing equipment for the older kids. It also has a half basketball court within the park and toilets and table facilities. Just located 10m from the Queens Bay Beach it is a lovely place to enjoy the mornings under the large shady trees around this park.
Gideon Park
Queens Beach Esplanade – This park has a fully fenced area, so if your younger ones enjoy exploring then you will have peace of mind knowing they are safe within the park area. This park is one of the larger parks in Bowen, with a range of slides, climbing areas, walking bridges and swings all around the park. It also has a full-size basketball, netball and hockey court under a shaded area. A bike path for younger children is a great space to learn or practice your bike or scooter abilities. Within this area you also have a brand-new high ropes climbing themed playground which runs beside the upgraded skate park. This popular playground area has access to toilet block and a range of seating and BBQ's. With a large open field, you will find endless space to run around, bring the dog down and enjoy the area while the kids play and explore. Keep in mind this playground give you access to the walking esplanade so if you have the bikes, scooters or skateboards you can explore further along as well.
Rose Bay
Swing set with front row view of stunning Rose Bay. This small park allows kids to enjoy playing while you are cooking or setting up for the BBQ picnic along the beach.
Mullers Lagoon Park
Soldiers Road (opposite Woolworths) - This playground is located in the middle of the parklands, with a seated area just nearby the kids will enjoy a range of park facilities after enjoying a walk around the lagoon area. This is located just nearby the toilet block; grass and shady areas handy for enjoying a picnic as well. The kids might like to also explore the frangipani garden, find the small bridge or discover the large 'Gubulla Munda' dreamtime serpent & brolga statues while exploring Mullers Lagoon.
Bowen Water Park
Santa Barbara Pde - Bowen is home to a FREE water park located at the front beach which is open all year around. This is operated by a timer so simply pop the swimmers on and press the button for all the fun to start! This water park has a range of slides, huge water bucket and other places for kids to enjoy while cooling down. With a safe non slip service even babies can enjoy dipping their toes in the water while older siblings enjoying the park as well. Seated areas are provided within the fenced area, and toilets and BBQ's also located within 10m of the water park. Perfect to enjoy an outdoor meal with family and friends!
Bowen Front Beach Park
Santa Barbara Pde - Located down from the water park is a playground that kids can enjoy and explore. This park is a full covered area providing a shady spot through the entire day. This playground is also wheelchair friendly with a wheelchair accessible swing. Located close by a toilet block, bbq area and water views.
Bowen Marina Park
Santa Barbara Pde - The newest park to Bowen, this playground has incorporated all the latest and fun playground equipment around. Kids of all ages will enjoy this playground.
Whitsunday Paradise Park
Ocean View Drive – In the suburb of Whitsunday Paradise on the southern approach to Bowen; an enjoyable place to play, the playground is fully fenced area with a range of equipment for younger children, swing and walking path as well.
