WHERE THEY HANG ? Dugong enjoy munching out on the all important seagrass fields of Edgecumbe Bay in Bowen - although rarely seen, they have been spotted while fishing near shore in the bay and also from the foreshore jetty!
SUPER COOL FACTS ? These large marine animals have evolved over 60 million years! They eat seagrass and have been mistaken for mermaids with their unique tail shape.
